KCHS Events Postponed Due to COVID-19

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, many events for 2020 and early 2021 have been canceled or postponed. We appreciate your understanding during this trying time. Continue to check the KCHS events page updates on future dates.

The Annual Meeting scheduled for October 18, 2020, has been postponed until the Spring of 2021. We will be publishing a commemorative edition of our newsletter to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Callaway Historical Society. The newsletter is scheduled for late September.

The Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society’s Annual Tractor Drive in conjunction with Wise Brother’s Farms has been postponed until 2021.

A part of Callaway County’s 200th anniversary celebration, our plans included a much larger event this year with as many as 200 tractors involved. However, with the current health situation across our nation causing other events to be postponed or canceled, the Historical Society Board of Directors, along with Wise Brother’s Farms have decided to postpone this year’s Tractor Drive. This will allow us to commit time and volunteers to other rescheduled events for the county’s celebration.

Please watch for information regarding the 2021 Tractor Drive for the State of Missouri’s 200th Anniversary.

The Rooster Creek Quilt Show scheduled for July 9-11, 2020, has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

The Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society was working with Rooster Creek to connect the show with the Callaway 200 celebration. The plans were to have the show feature vintage quilts. KCHS and Callaway 200 are working on plans for a show in 2021 to help celebrate Missouri’s 200th anniversary with the same vintage quilt theme.

We welcome visitors to stop by or contact our museum or research center with questions.
