Building Bridges — Presentation and Book Signing

Wayne Johnson presents the background and will sign copies of his new illustrated book on the history of the first Missouri River bridge at Jefferson City built in 1896. This coffee table type book is full of rare photos of the original drawbridge that spanned the river.

Lori Franklin will teach the basics of cleaning and preserving cemetery stones. This will include hands-on work in the cemetery as well as class-room style instruction held prior at the Research Center.

Basics in Quilting — A Hands-On Quilting Session
at Bits ’n Pieces Quilting Shop, 531 Court St, Fulton, MO 65251
instructed by Ruth Frazier Burt and Bob Wise
Limit to 8 people; regular fee plus extras as noted. Create a 21” x 21” wall quilt during this session; sewing machines available ($5 extra) or bring your own. Must furnish own quilt fabric or purchase pre-cut fabric kit at the session. Lunch will be on your own.
