Callaway Chalkboards: Remembering Callaway County’s Rural Schoolhouses
…was officially released and guests were able to meet our esteemed editor, Bruce Hackmann, who personally signed copies of the book. The book is still available for just $40 (members) or $45 (non-members) per book.
Supporting Education
All proceeds from this event (not including book sales) went toward the newly established KCHS Educational Grant Program for Callaway County schools. This innovative program encourages educators from diverse disciplines to develop grant projects that enrich the study of history in their classrooms, aligning with KCHS's mission of preserving and sharing Callaway County's rich history with all generations.
We were honored to present the creations of our "famous Callaway County bakers" at the Pie Auction. Ten beautifully adorned boxes showcasing a homemade pie were up for auction to the highest bidder.
